Advent Theme
Monday, November 30th, 2009My mom in law does not like the new Advent theme. So I just wanted to say it’s only going to be up for Advent. I have 4 total. One for each week of Advent 
So it will not be up for too long.

Genesis 11:27-30
Monday, November 30th, 2009Now these are the generations of Terah. Terah fathered Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran fathered Lot. Haran died in the presence of his father Terah in the land of his kindred, in Ur of the Chaldeans. And Abram and Nahor took wives. The name of Abram’s wife was Sarai, and the name of Nahor’s wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran the father of Milcah and Iscah. Now Sarai was barren; she had no child.

God uses people. He uses broken people. Abram and Sarai had not children and that is bad. The world would have viewed them as worthless. But not God. He uses the foolish things of this world to bring glory to Himself. Sarai was barren. Abram had no child.

Christmas Eve Family Night
Friday, November 27th, 2009So the other week I posted about wanting to start some family traditions. One idea that I had was to have Christmas Eve be family night. What I have in mind is that we allow the kids to stay up late (would depend on the age for how late) and we watch Christmas movies and/or play family games. Also we would sleep out in the main room with the tree.

David Crowder*Band 2009

So we got to go out for a date! No Marci either. Nyssa’s sister/parents watched her for us and we went to go see the David Crowder*Band. We had a great time. I’m not sure when the next time we will get to go out will be. But thats okay. Dave is a lot of fun and we had a great time. Even went to the Cheese Cake Factory (now that was good). So a big thank you to all the in-laws.
