Took the Sunday off

Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

So I don’t have a review of Pastor Don’s message this week.  Nyssa and my self took the week off from church.  She was not feeling to good and I was not to motivated either.  So we had the day off.  It was rather nice.  It’s amazing what you can get done in four plus hours..  Anyways, the message is on-line so I think I will listen to it and then I will write the review.  Just not sure when I will have the time

Megaman 9

Friday, September 26th, 2008

I must confess that I am really excited about the new Mega Man game that is out.  It’s Mega Man in all his 8 bit glory!  I just downloaded it today.  Got to play for about 5 mins durring lunch.  I died, but I had the biggest grin on my face the whole time.  It’s so much fun.  Thank you Capcom, you rock!  From the little bit I played it reminded me most of the early NES adventures.  Like Megaman 1 (which was the hardest one too).  And all the reviews talk about how hard this game is.  Anyways, it’s avable for the Wii, PS3 and the XBox 360.  So if you have any of these systems and your a old school gamer at heart be sure to down load this one.  It was $10 on the PSN.  The only problem is that now I don’t know what to play.  I have WarCraft, StarWars and MegaMan…  Next Little Big Planet will be out and then what do I do???  Too many choices  :)

Just saying ‘hi’

Thursday, September 25th, 2008

So I have not done a post to just say ‘hi’ in quit a bit of time.  So, hi, hows it goin?  I have had alot going on this week and so have just done easy post on the site  :)  I have several prayer request.  One of my friends step son died this week.  Please pray for him and for his step son’s family.  Also Nyssa’s parents dog died.  It was the Weazle, who they loved very much.  It seems all rather depressing.

Nyssa and my self went and looked at some houses this week.  That was fun, seeing all the houses we can’t really afford.  We did see one that we liked, if we could get them to go down about 20K it would be perfect…  Stupid Dave Ramsey…  It would be alot easer to get a house if we did not follow his financial teachings  :P  But we belive that he is right, got to have at least 20% down and no more then a 15 year mortage.   Anyways, with the housing market being so bad right now thats helping us out.  There was a secound house that we really liked, it was very nice inside, but way to small.  So please also pray for Nyssa and my self as we are looking to get a house.

This weekend we are celebrating Nyssa’s sister’s birthday.  I think it’s the big 21 is that right??  She’s fun (most of the time  :D  )   So congrats Pibsqueak!  Are we having cake?  Do I need to make anything?  I guess if I do you would just let Nyssa know.  We found a great new chocolate cake mix…  MMmmmm, chocolate cake…  Ok, now I’m just rambling so laters

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

Singer Shaun Grove has great things to say about Compassion International and how they work.  This is the group that Nyssa and my self use to support our two little children.  Please pray for them and the children the help support.

The Chromosomal Barrier @ Radical Womanhood

Radical Womanhood has an excellent article on the mentally challenged.  Be sure to check it out, it’s worth the read.  Bellow is a brief expert from what she wrote.

I grieve for what a double-minded culture we’ve become. We are pro-life when it comes to baby seals or endangered species, but not when it comes to human beings with development disabilities. We campaign for women’s rights in our own nation but ignore the estimated 100 million missing girls worldwide who have been victims of sex-selective abortions. We seem incapable of recognizing the hypocrisy of protecting a “woman’s right to choose,” even if such a choice is made at the expense of another’s life–and a female’s life at that!
