So Nyssa is watching another baby for now.  One of our friends got in a bind and asked if we could watch Autumn until they find a more permanent solution.  She’s 8 months old and is a rather quit baby.  So please pray for us that 1) a good solution will be found and 2) Nyssa will not go crazy with two little ones around.

Also my friend Ronny’s mother went into the hospital this past week.  I spent a lot of time with them growing up and they are like family.  They think she might have had a mild hart attack but either way her blood was really thick so they put her on a blood thinner.  I need to call Ronny today to get a update, but please pray for her health.  Her name is Kathy.

As for Marci she’s going at 100+ MPH.  Let’s hope she does not have any accidents as bad as this guy…

Okay, yeah, I was just looking for a way to put that video into a post.  But hey I’m going with it.  She is almost at the walking by her self stage.  She likes to hold on to one finger as we walk her around but she will take two or three steps after letting go of us to get to what she wants.  I would put a picture of her up (because I’m a daddy and that’s what daddy’s do) but photobucket is down right now.  Oh, Nyssa put Marci in a 18 month outfit today.  So my 11 month old is fitting in 18 month old’s clothing…

Everyday Blessings

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

So I helped out at Everyday Blessings this past weekend.  I ended up painting the girls bathroom (oddly enough another helper Sue (a female) ended up painting the boys bathroom) all the kids were out at a swim park.  Everyday Blessings is a foster home for children.  I’m not sure how many children they have right now but Ken said they can have up to 30 children at a time.

I am a strong believer in home missions.  I think it’s a huge wast when we do short term mission trips.  The EPC youth group went up to West Virginia last year and another youth group form Virginia came to Plant City to help out at the Bread of Life Mission.  How crazy is that?  The Church wastes so much money when we could be blessing full time missionaries who are in despite need.  Also you can do a lot more with home missions then you ever can with a short term mission trip…  Anyways, I think Nyssa and my self do want to start helping out there.

Pray for us that we will have the time to do so.

Prayer Request

  • Nyssa has a Doctor appointment today.  Pray that the Dr. has good news for us.
  • My neighbor went the the hospital today they think she had a stroke.
  • My friend Ronny is having some health problems.

I’m also installing iTunes on my work computer.  It’s all David Crowder’s fault too.  They have several new songs out but you can only but it on iTunes.  I don’t care for Apple all that much and it kind of saddens me that I have to install it.

I know, I know.  I don’t have to install it.  Sure whatever.

Marci is doing good.  She has started scooting on the floor.  It’s super cute.

She is also getting really good at saying “dada”.  I must confess that it just melts my heart.  She also laughs alot now.  It’s just a really fun time to be with her.

Hhey iTunes just finished installing…  And it wants me to restart my computer.  What a shocker.  Sigh, I’m getting used to Ubuntu.  Guess I’m going to restart my computer now, laters.

Is It Over?

  • Grand dad – He’s doing much better.  Is out of the hospital.  However he is much weaker then when he was before.  My mom came to the conclusion that she could not provide the level of care that he needed.  She asked us if we (Nyssa that is) would be willing to provide for him.  Now I don’t want it to sound like he can’t do anything by himself now.  Thats not the case.  But he does need some extra help.
  • Marci – Is doing great!  To be honest I don’t know how I’ve been blessed by such a great baby
  • House – Is crazy.  Trying to get ready for my grand dad and to finish “baby proofing” (haha, yeah right) the house.  Also on top of all that our air broke yesterday.  We called Mike today and had him come out.  Turns out it was only something small so that was great.  If you ever have air conditioner needs call Mike!
  • Computers – I’m switching over to Ubuntu.  No more Microsoft for me.  To be honest it’s a little weird for me.  I have always been a MS type of guy.  I tried a Unix a long time ago and it was just to hard for me.  Took me like a week to find the CD drive (this was before Google..  How did we ever live without Google?).  But Ubuntu is great.  It’s fast, simple, free…  I like it
  • Diet – So I have been on a diet this year.  So far I have lost about 16 pounds.  It’s not like a “power diet” or anything.  It more focus on eating right.  I have things that I have to eat once a day like -vegetables, fruits, nuts, carrots, whole grain and green tea.  Things that I  got to have at least three times a week – broccoli and yogurt.  Things that I have to eat at least once a week – fish, sweet potato, avocado.  Then things I’m only allowed once a day – meat & cheese.  Only once a week – red meat or pork and dessert.  And I’m never allowed to have soda or fast food.

I think thats about all thats going on right now.  I have today off work.  Was going to go and spend the day with Nyssa, but that did not work out.  I need to get the house ready for grand dad.  So that is what we are doing today.
