METRO ATLANTA, Ga. — Last weekend an Atlanta pastor made a promise that stunned his congregation and most of the people who heard it.
In a speech that discussed abortion, the President, and the sanctity of life, the most provocative statement from Pastor Vic Pentz of Peachtree Presbyterian Church came towards sermon’s end:
“I make a promise to you now and I don’t want you to keep this a secret,” the pastor pronounced, “the Peachtree Presbyterian Church will care for any newborn baby you bring to this church.
“We will be the family to find a home for that child, and there’s no limit on this. You can tell your friends, you can tell your family, you can tell the whole world …”
Reflected Pentz a week later, “I seem to have touched a nerve by saying that to the congregation.”
It’s a speech he repeated this past Sunday, and it can be found on the church’s web site under the sermon title, “Ethics of Life”.

But we all know it’s all about the money. If they reported the rape then other girls in that situation would not go there and they would louse out.

I guess when it really comes done to it people dont want to face the truth. We want to take the easy way out and just pretend it’s ok.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
The Declaration of Independence
You know it is amazing how the changing of power works in America. President Bush (Last time I will say that) and President Elect Barack Obama are having coffee together this morning. These two men have striking different views on what America should be and what it should do. One currently has the highest office in the country and the other one will hold it in an hour and a half. One of them the masses hate the other one the masses love. But it’s (for the most part) peaceful, no killing, only votes.
This is a day when we can celebrate that some of the evils of the past (while not completely gone) are fading. Let us pray that a man’s color will become less and less important. Let us thank God that a man who would not be able to vote 60 years ago will today become the president of the U.S.
But at the same time it is a day of morning for all people. The new president supports the slaughter of children in the womb (and even out of the womb as long as a foot is still in there). So while today is a day of answered prayer it is also a day to recommit to prayer. Let us pray that the Gospel will be preached to Barack and that he will come to a saving faith in Jesus. Let us pray that he will see that the unborn are alive and have a right to life. For all men are created equal. Black, White, Hispanic, young, old, unborn or anywhere in-between.
